Privacy Policy

Modelist (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the waitlist and pre-launch website at modelist.co. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored, and your rights over it. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

1. What we collect

When you join the waitlist we collect:

• Email address — to notify you when your spot opens and to send launch updates.
• Role (model or designer) — so we can send you relevant information.
• Signup timestamp — to determine your position on the waitlist.

We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or any sensitive personal data during the waitlist phase.

2. How we use your data

• Send you a confirmation email when you join.
• Notify you when Modelist launches or your spot becomes available.
• Send occasional launch updates (no more than a few emails before launch).
• Understand the split between models and designers on the waitlist so we can plan accordingly.

We will never sell your email address or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. How we store your data

Waitlist data is stored in a hosted PostgreSQL database with encrypted connections. Transactional emails are sent via a third-party email service (currently Resend, Inc.). Both providers are bound by data processing agreements and store data in secure, access-controlled environments.

We retain waitlist data until Modelist launches. If the project is discontinued, we will delete all waitlist data within 30 days and notify you by email.

4. Cookies & analytics

During the waitlist phase, we do not use any tracking cookies or third-party analytics that require your consent. If we add analytics in the future we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent before setting any cookies.

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your data at any time.
• Unsubscribe — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us directly.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@the-modelist.com with the subject line “Privacy Request”. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Legal basis (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit the waitlist form. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Modelist grows. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, if you are on the waitlist, notify you by email.
